Δούρειος Ίππος (meaning “Trojan Horse” in Greek) is a well-established Greek online defence and security news platform that covers developments in defence technologies, military capabilities, security policy and the defence industry.
In August 2026, Δούρειος Ίππος published a comprehensive feature on the EDF PROTEAS project, entitled “EDF PROTEAS Project: Building the Future of European C2 Capabilities”, together with an interview with the project’s Technical Coordinator, Dr. Georgios Avdikos from INTRACOM DEFENSE (IDE), originally produced by the project.
The article presents the project’s vision, highlighting the development of a rapidly deployable, cyber-secure Command and Control (C2) capability for European Special Operations Forces. It describes the project’s System-of-Systems architecture, the integration of advanced communications, intelligence, autonomous platforms, artificial intelligence and cyber-secure technologies, as well as the progress achieved towards the project’s final integration, testing and demonstration activities. The publication also outlines the strong European collaboration behind PROTEAS, involving 14 partners from six EU Member States and Norway and discusses the project’s expected operational impact and future exploitation potential within the European defence ecosystem.
The full article, in Greek, is available on the Δούρειος Ίππος website here.
