Eight Bells participated in the European Defence Fund Innovation Days 2025 (EDID25), held on 13–16 May in Krakow, Poland. The event was organised by the European Defence Agency under the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
During the exhibition, our project partner showcased its Marine Multi-Sensor Gimbal System, developed for the PROTEAS Project. This maritime gimbal thermal camera was designed and built specifically to meet the project’s requirements. It features long-range operation and combines an electro-optical sensor for daytime use, a thermal sensor for day and night detection, a laser range finder and a two-axis stabilization system. The system is intended for integration on unmanned surface vessels (USVs).
EDID25 is a key event for showcasing defence innovation across Europe, bringing together national authorities, Armed Forces, EU institutions, industry and research organisations. The PROTEAS EDF Project was promoted at Eight Bells booth within the Cyprus Pavilion.
