PROTEAS Critical Design Review (CDR) Meeting & 5th Plenary Meeting

The PROTEAS EDF Project held its Critical Design Review (CDR) Meeting and 5th Plenary Meeting on 26-28 November 2025, in Paris, France. The meeting, hosted by our project partner, THALES SIX GTS FRANCE SAS, marked a key milestone for the project, bringing together the entire consortium.

On the 27th of November, the Critical Design Review took place, formally marking the completion of the project’s Design phase. Representatives from the supporting MoDs also attended, providing valuable feedback and their agreement on the maturity of the Design phase outcomes, during this important milestone for the project.

The 5th Plenary Meeting held on the 26th and 28th of November, focused on project management aspects, the presentation of the technical progress and the confirmation of the design phase completion, updates on communication and dissemination activities, the Executive Board meeting, a briefing to the General Assembly on the project progress and an introduction to the Prototyping and Integration & Testing phases.

The project continues to demonstrate strong progress towards the completion of its objectives and milestones, contributing to innovation in military technology for Special Operations.

The Prototyping phase is expected to consolidate the work done so far and lead to the delivery of the anticipated outcomes, at the project conclusion. This Prototyping phase is scheduled to run for the next 6 months, followed by the final Integration and Testing phase, with a duration of a further six months, leading to the end of the project, when most importantly the demonstration of the PROTEAS System-of-Systems (SoS) to the project’s stakeholders (the EC and the supporting MoDs), is to take place.
