On October 10, 2025, C&V organized and chaired the 3rd workshop of the PROTEAS Ethical, Legal and Societal Advisory Board, which was held online. The independent experts assessed the project’s ethical, legal and societal risks in order to ensure that the ethics-by-design approach is accounted for in the PROTEAS proposed solutions.
The workshop was organized at a key milestone of the project, aiming to assess the alignment of the Critical Design Review deliverables with the required ethical, legal, and societal standards. The concrete implementation of the Board’s proposed measures by the consortium plays a fundamental role in ensuring the ethical integrity of the PROTEAS systems’ design, as well as that its practices do not violate any of these critical aspects.
Without compromising the operational efficiency, the technological innovation and the competitiveness of the PROTEAS proposed solutions, the consortium is working actively to comply and incorporate the compliance principles into the final design of the PROTEAS System of Systems.
