INTRACOM DEFENSE participated in the 9th GSOF Symposium Europe 2025, held on 7-9 of October 2025, in Athens, Greece where among other exhibits, IDE had the pleasure to present the European Defense Fund (EDF 2022) Project PROTEAS.
GSOF Symposium Europe is a conference and exhibition that brings together international SOF stakeholders to network, explore topical developments, and foster business. The event serves as a premier platform for showcasing evolving solutions, monitoring sector activities, and evaluating emerging trends in the Special Operations Forces domain. It also provides opportunities to network within the global community and shape future capabilities and partnerships through technology discovery.
The PROTEAS EDF Project, was promoted through a dedicated Poster and a Project Concept video (available at PROTEAS YouTube channel here). These materials highlighted the PROTEAS key technologies contributed by each consortium partner and demonstrated how they operate in parallel, providing an overview of the integrated PROTEAS solution.
IDE’s booth welcomed numerous Special Operations Forces’ officers, Commanders and staff members, which among them included representatives from the Hellenic MoD, who have been engaged in the review of PROTEAS’ progress, milestones and next steps. In addition, potential suppliers expressed interest in offering products for integration in the PROTEAS solution, as well as its commercialization timeline as an integrated solution, after its conclusion.
Τhe project also attracted MEDIA attention. Journalists visited IDE’s booth, resulting in media exposure thought several online articles. In particular, an article referring to PROTEAS was published by PARAPOLITIKA GR, and can be found here. Another journal dedicated to the Defense sector, Πτήση (flight.com.gr), also published an article referencing the project, accessible here.
The GSOF concluded successfully for IDE and, in particular, for the PROTEAS project. However, the journey continues, so follow PROTEAS to stay updated regarding its next crucial milestone, that of the Critical Design Review which is approaching (Nov 2025).
