The PROTEAS EDF 2022 project convened for its 4th Plenary Meeting on May 26th & 28th, 2025, in Nydalen, Oslo, Norway. The meeting was graciously hosted by one of our partners Squarehead Technology, a Norwegian company and consortium partner specializing in advanced microphone array systems for precision acoustic capture, drone detection, surveillance, and security applications across diverse environments.
Representatives from all consortium partners participated in this key meeting, which marked a pivotal moment for the project’s progress. Discussions and sessions focused mostly on:
- Reviewing project management aspects and addressing open items
- Presenting progress on the detailed Design Sub-Phase
- Updating and planning future Communication and Dissemination activities
- Conducting a face-to-face Executive Board meeting
- Informing the General Assembly on the overall project status
- Aligning on a joint roadmap for the upcoming Prototyping and Integration & Testing Phases
The outcome was highly positive, with productive discussions and alignment on critical directions.
On the 27th of May, the project also held its 1st Periodic Review Meeting (M18) where the key achievements of each WP since the beginning of the project, were presented. The Review meeting was conducted with the active participation of the European Commission and supporting MoDs representatives, who provided their valuable feedback and expressed their satisfaction overall with the project’s progress up to M18.
In this regard, the PROTEAS project continues to demonstrate solid progress in delivering an innovative solution tailored for multi-environment special operations moving towards reaching its next major objective, which will be the Critical Design Review (CDR) milestone.
