The first workshop of the PROTEAS WP2 unfolded in Athens on January 30th and 31st, 2024. Under the Coordination of IDE and organizational arrangements of Satways, representatives from most other Consortium Partners (8BELLS, IMPACT, LEONARDO, C&V Consulting and SQUAREHEAD), alongside delegates from the Hellenic and Belgian Ministries of Defense (MoDs), actively engaged over the two days of sessions.
Given the significance of this initial workshop in laying the groundwork for the Project’s success, its primary focus was to establish a common baseline among Consortium Partners and MoDs.
The workshop commenced with discussions on the Concept of Operations (CONOPS) and the respective view points of the MoDs. Subsequently, the various PROTEAS Command Post and further assets were reviewed and the corresponding Initial Harmonized Defence Capability requirements (IHCDRs), as well as any further that were deemed pertinent were prioritized by the MoDs. Additionally, a dedicated session was held to present and discuss an indicative Use Case, with a view to analogous ones which were requested to be supplied by the MoDs.
The workshop concluded upon agreement and discussions on the work plan and the next steps for the 2nd and 3rd Workshops.
