Squarehead highlighted PROTEAS at MSPO 2025

Squarehead Technology participated in the MSPO 2025 International Defence Industry Exhibition, held from 2–5 September in Kielce, Poland. During the event, the company presented its acoustic sensor technology for drone detection and situational awareness, and also informed interested visitors about its involvement in the European Defence Fund (EDF 2022) project PROTEAS.

MSPO is regarded as one of Europe’s major defense exhibitions, drawing senior military representatives, government delegations, and industry specialists from a wide range of countries. The exhibition serves as an important meeting point for reviewing new defense solutions, exchanging perspectives on capability needs, and strengthening cooperation within the Central and Eastern European defense sector.

Squarehead took part as one of the companies represented in the Norwegian pavilion. Throughout the exhibition, the team engaged with procurement officials, NATO personnel, defense ministry representatives, and other stakeholders. The event provided opportunities to reconnect with established contacts as well as introduce Squarehead’s latest developments in counter-UAS acoustic sensors and surveillance technologies to new audiences.

In discussions with visitors, Squarehead also presented information on the PROTEAS project. These conversations outlined the project’s objective to develop a deployable Command and Control system for Special Operations Forces, integrating sensing capabilities, communication systems, and mission-support infrastructure. As part of these briefings, Squarehead highlighted how the Discovair G2 acoustic sensor contributes to the project’s operational concept by supporting perimeter monitoring and short-range threat detection for deployed units.

To support this outreach, Squarehead distributed datasheets to military and technical delegates, helping increase understanding of PROTEAS, its consortium partners, and the broader aims of the European Defence Fund programme.

MSPO 2025 resulted in strong visibility for Squarehead’s technology and provided an effective platform for outreach related to PROTEAS. The company established new connections, received valuable feedback from end-users and decision-makers, and reinforced awareness of its role within the project as preparations continue toward the next phases of development.
