The PROTEAS EDF Project held its 6th Plenary and Test Readiness Review (TRR) Meetings on 26-28 May 2026, in Athens, Greece. Hosted by our project coordinator, INTRACOM DEFENSE, the meeting marked an important milestone for the project, bringing together the entire consortium to review progress and align on the next steps.
The TRR Meeting took place on 27 May, formally marking the completion of the project’s Prototyping Phase. Representatives from the supporting MoDs, including the Hellenic and Belgian MoDs, as well as the Hellenic Center for Defence Innovation (HCDI), attended the meeting, providing valuable feedback, as well as their acknowledgement and agreement on the maturity of the project’s results achieved in the ongoing integration activities, thus authorizing the launch of the Testing phase.
The 6th Plenary Meeting, held on 26 and 28 May, focused on project management aspects, the presentation of the technical progress and the confirmation of the completion of the Prototyping phase. The meeting also included the Executive Board and General Assembly sessions, which provided an overview of the project’s progress, highlighting the main challenges faced and introduced the recently commenced Testing Phase.
The Prototyping phase consolidated the work carried out so far as expected and has paved the way for the delivery of the anticipated project outcomes. Following the completion of this six-month phase, the project now enters its final Integration and Testing Phase, which will also run for six months and lead to the conclusion of the project. This final phase will culminate in the demonstration of the PROTEAS System-of-Systems (SoS) to the project’s key stakeholders, including the European Commission, the supporting MoDs and the HCDI.
