UBITECH organized and co-hosted the 2025 IEEE CSR Workshop on Cybersecurity Innovation and Resilience (CYBERSHIELD), held on August 6th, 2025, in Chania, Crete. The CYBERSHIELD workshop aimed at fostering a multidisciplinary ecosystem focusing on enhancing Resilience through the integration of high-impact research outcomes with critical real-world applications.

One of the key supporters of the workshop was the PROTEAS EDF Project. Within the scope of the workshop and leveraging its already published research (titled “On Energy-aware and Verifiable Benchmarking of Big Data Processing targeting AI Pipelines”), PROTEAS provided valuable insights regarding the incorporation of monitoring processes that provide transparency in the training of machine learning algorithms. This transparency, is a necessary step towards the development of robust and trustworthy AI workflows that are deployed in mission critical environments.

This engagement created opportunities for the exploration of best practices and the discussion of novel solutions in the domains of:

• Energy-aware Βenchmarking of Data Processing and AI Pipelines.
• Improved Model Training and Deployment Lifecycles.
• The Formulation of Robust and Transparent AI Workflows.
