PROTEAS Preliminary Design Review (PDR) Meeting

The PROTEAS EDF Project successfully held its Preliminary Design Review (PDR) meeting on February 26–27, 2025, in Athens, Greece. The event was organized and coordinated by the Project Coordinator, IDE. Taking place in the 15th month of the project’s lifecycle, the PDR marks a significant milestone, as it signifies the completion of the preliminary design phase for the PROTEAS System of Systems (SoS) and its individual components.

During the meeting, the PROTEAS consortium presented the Deliverables prepared, showcasing the technical progress achieved for each system and subsystem comprising PROTEAS. The advancement was confirmed by MoDs representatives, chaired by the Greek MoD representatives, who confirmed that the project is on track, as reflected in the relevant documents and deliverables. As no significant concerns were raised by the MoDs, the meeting was concluded successfully, with the PDR milestone considered as attained. This marks the initiation of the detailed design sub-phase, leading to the Critical Design Review (CDR) milestone, to be reached before proceeding to the prototyping stage.
