PROTEAS promoted @5th Athens C4ISR

The PROTEAS project was showcased at the 5th Athens C4ISR International ConferenceAgenda 2030- Hellenic Armed Forces Digital Transformation in the Age of Artificial Intelligence War, held on 19th-20th November at the War Museum, in Athens Greece.

The aim of the conference was knowledge exchange, tapping into the latest technical developments in land, navy, air force platforms and weapon systems, C4ISR, Digital Battlefield, Artificial intelligence and Cyber Security.

The project was represented by the Project Coordinator, INTRACOM DEFENSE (IDE), which participated as a Silver Sponsor and Exhibitor and also the Work Package leader on Dissemination, Communication and Exploitation, EIGHT BELLS LTD (8BELLS).

In this frame, Dr. Dimitrios Milioris, Master AI Engineer of IDE and WP6 Leader of the PROTEAS Project, made a presentation, titled “Intelligence and Sensing: The cases of IMINT and GEOINT”, about algorithms for object detection, identification, tracking, geolocation estimation and path planning used for situational awareness.

Dr. Milioris, among others highlighted the importance of utilizing IMINT and GEOINT in the PROTEAS Project, to support Special Operations in Small Joint missions. The presentation explored how advanced technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and sensor integration are transforming defense operations, with notable contributions to projects such as PROTEAS.

The display of the PROTEAS banner at the  IDE booth, attracted significant interest from the audience, eager to learn more about the Project.

Additionally, 8BELLS represented PROTEAS with a team of three experts, actively engaging with defense leaders, policymakers and high-ranking officials. During their discussions, they showcased the vision and highlighted the potential impact of PROTEAS.
